PROHIBITED ITEMS POLICY
At Safekeep Storage Private Limited, the safety and security of our customers, employees, goods stored and facilities are our top priorities. While our storage units are designed to accommodate personal belongings and business inventory, including documents, certain items are strictly prohibited for storage. These restrictions help ensure compliance with legal regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment for all customers.
Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being stored in our facility:
1. Hazardous and Flammable Materials
- Flammable liquids, including gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and alcohol-based products
- Combustible or pressurized items such as LPG gas cylinders, aerosol cans, and propane tanks
- Explosives, including fireworks, ammunition, and detonators
- Radioactive materials and toxic chemicals
- Items that emit fumes, gases, or strong odours
- Inverter and generator related.
2. Perishable and Biological Items
- Live or dead animals, animal waste or carcasses
- Plants and organic matter susceptible to decay or pest infestation
- Perishable food items (exceptions may be made for shelf-stable food in sealed, airtight containers)
- Biological or medical waste, including used needles and biomedical supplies
3. Illegal or Restricted Items
- Any substances prohibited by law, including illegal drugs, narcotics, and paraphernalia
- Stolen goods or counterfeit products
- Unauthorized hazardous chemicals or regulated substances
- Firearms and ammunition (as per applicable laws)
- All items prohibited under any applicable law in India.
- Personal mobility devices (PMD) that contain lithium-ion batteries due to fire hazards
4. High-Value and Financial Instruments
- Cash, currency, coins and negotiable securities
- Important legal documents, including deeds, bonds, and certificate
- Jewellery, precious metals, or collectibles without proper insurance coverage
5. Waste, Trash, and Unacceptable Items
- Household waste, garbage, and hazardous waste
- Items that produce strong odors or attract pests
- Damaged or contaminated materials that may pose a health or environmental risk
Enforcement and Compliance
Customers found storing prohibited items will be required to remove them immediately. Violation of this policy may result in termination of the rental agreement, penalties, or legal action. Any damages caused to the premises or other goods stored at the premises which may or may not belong to other tenants, on account of the prohibited goods kept at the premises shall be accountable to the customer storing such prohibited items and Safekeep Storage Private Limited shall be entitled to recover such damages caused to the premises and property of Safekeep Storage Private Limited as well as to the goods stored by the other customers from the party storing prohibited goods. Our management reserves the right to inspect units in cases of suspected violations to ensure the safety and integrity of our facility. We may allow any government entity, if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws, in response to a court order, judicial or other government order or notice, or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental agencies.
